About

2014 - 2017

In my childhood I always liked software, especially when it came to gaming. Since I owned my first mobile phone, they and their OS fascinated me as well. So while I studied teaching, I found myself drawn into lectures about software development.

As a result of that, I started an apprenticeship for software development at Materna GmbH in 2014. I completed it in 2017. I mostly worked in Java Projects (as this was my first programming language I've learned) but after a short time other projects with different tech stacks (e.g Ruby, C#) came into play and I've worked on them as well.

In these couple of years I also explored my passion for consulting and teaching/presenting. I drove to customers, explained them our offerings and led trainings when they started using our software. After a couple of months It became my main type of work.

I appreciated the trust given by my company to represent them, but I kinda lost the focus for developing applications. I really liked traveling and presenting, but I felt that something was missing. So after I completed my apprenticeship in 2017 I've decided to move on to a more technical job offering and in August 2017 I joined Quinscape GmbH.

2017 - 2018

In 2017 I joined QuinScape. I worked there primarily as a Java Developer. The technologies I've worked with were primarily Java related like Spring or JPA. The project I worked on was quite old and complex and I've learned alot in this time period. I started exploring other programming languages like Javascript or Ruby.

2018 was a very personal year for me. I got married and moved to a new home town. Because of these major changes in my life and my current situation at Quinscape I decided to switch jobs again even though I liked and appreciated my colleagues and the company alot. In October 2018 I joined C&A as a software developer.

2019

Even though I was really struggling with my move to another company, It was the right move at the right time. I discovered that I was unhappy with my current developing stack (primarily Java and Javascript) and thanks to my teamlead I found my real passion: Swift

I started developing iOS Applications with Swift in the beginning of 2019. I fell in love with the language immediatly. Since I got my first mobile phone I was always quite the sucker for anything Apple. And to develop applications for that plattform was a dream come true for me. So I got trained and since then been active in developing anything iOS. I started forking github repos to further my training. I developed little iOS Apps as side projects and developed this website completely in Swift thanks to John Sundells framework "Publish"!
